Quartz-filled contact bonding bridge that creates a mechanical key on smooth concrete without hand-chipping
Description
A ready-to-use contact primer loaded with quartz-sand grains, applied to smooth, non-absorbent concrete surfaces (formwork-cast concrete, precast columns and soffits) to create a rough, keyed surface that provides excellent mechanical anchorage for subsequent plaster and render. It eliminates the laborious hand-scabbling (hammer-chipping) normally needed to roughen smooth surfaces.

Surface Preparation
- Clean the concrete of dust, oils, mould-release agents and demoulding residues.
- Remove any loose or weak parts of the surface.
- Ensure the surface is dry and free of surface water.
Application Method
- Stir the product well before and during use to keep the sand grains evenly distributed.
- Apply one even coat by brush or coarse roller, undiluted.
- Ensure the whole surface is covered with a uniform textured layer.
- Allow ≈ 12 hours to dry before applying plaster or render.

Consumption & Cost
Roughening smooth concrete by hand-scabbling is hard, slow, dusty work that eats labour hours and can even crack and weaken the structural element. Betokontakt achieves the same result with a single brush coat that dries in about 12 hours, leaving a uniform quartz-grained key that guarantees reliable mechanical anchorage for plaster. One kilogram covers 3–4 m², costing far less than the labour it saves, and it prevents the plaster hollowing and peeling that would otherwise mean re-finishing the wall.

Storage & Shelf Life
Store in original sealed containers between +5°C and +35°C, away from direct sunlight and frost. Shelf life 12 months.
Safety
Non-toxic and non-flammable. Wash tools with water immediately after use. Avoid eye contact; if it occurs, rinse with clean water. Keep out of reach of children.
