EuroFix Repair Mortar R3

Fibre-reinforced, non-shrink structural repair mortar for concrete and façades

ClassificationEN 1504-3 — R3
ColourCement grey
CEEN 1504-3R3

Description

A fibre-reinforced, non-shrink structural repair mortar, classified EN 1504-3 — R3, for repairing and reconstructing concrete and façades. Designed for columns, beams, spalled concrete and exposed-rebar zones, it delivers ≥ 30 MPa compressive strength and reliable, code-compliant performance for structural works and tenders.

Fields of Application

  • Concrete columns and beams
  • Façades and spalled concrete surfaces
  • Exposed-rebar repair zones
  • Reconstruction of degraded concrete sections
  • Structural projects and certified tenders

Technical Properties

ClassificationEN 1504-3 — R3
CuringMoist cure 24–48 h

Surface Preparation

  • Remove all weak, loose concrete down to a sound, solid substrate.
  • Clean exposed rebar of rust and treat with a protective coating.
  • Pre-wet the surface to a saturated surface-dry (SSD) condition before application.
  • Remove any standing water from the surface before applying the mortar.

Application Method

  1. Add the powder to clean water and mix with a slow drill to a lump-free paste.
  2. Let the mix rest 2 minutes to mature, then re-stir before use.
  3. Apply in passes of 5–40 mm, compacting well to ensure full contact and full encasement of the rebar.
  4. Finish and smooth before initial set (≈ 40 min).
  5. Protect from rapid drying with moist curing for 24–48 hours.

Comparison vs. Ordinary Site Mix

CriterionOrdinary MixEuroFix
Structural rating No rating EN 1504-3 — R3
Shrinkage & cracking Shrinks and cracks Non-shrink and fibre-reinforced
Bond to concrete Weak, debonds Reliable structural bond
Rebar protection Permeable, rust returns Dense, protects the steel
Re-work Fails, costly re-work follows Durable, certified repair

Consumption & Cost

The bag may cost more than a cheap sand-cement patch, but ordinary patching shrinks, cracks and debonds and carries no structural rating, so it fails and must be redone at higher cost and safety risk. EuroFix R3 is non-shrink, fibre-reinforced and classified EN 1504-3 — R3, delivering structural reliability and code-compliance for reconstruction and tenders — turning the higher bag price into real savings by eliminating failure and repeated repair.

Packaging

25 kg bag

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in original sealed bags in a dry place, raised off the ground on wooden pallets. Shelf life 12 months from the production date printed on the packaging.

Safety

Contains cement which reacts alkaline with moisture. Wear protective gloves and goggles. On eye contact, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children.
