EuroFix Gypsum Plaster — Interior Thermal Plaster

A single-coat interior gypsum plaster (5–30 mm) for brick, block and concrete walls and ceilings in dry interior areas. It gives the wall natural thermal and acoustic comfort, genuine fire resistance and — being breathable — helps regulate room humidity, drying to a smooth surface ready for direct painting. Not intended for wet rooms or exterior façades.

Pure calcined gypsum (beta hemihydrate) with light mineral fillers, cellulose ethers for water retention and easy spreading, and setting-time regulators giving a comfortable working time of over 60 minutes.

The substrate must be dry, sound and free from dust, oil and paint residues. Prime highly absorbent substrates (aerated block) with EuroFix Primer, and smooth low-absorption surfaces (concrete) with Betokontakt. Protect metal parts against corrosion. Application temperature +5 to +30°C.

Gradually sprinkle the 30 kg bag into about 17–18 litres of clean cool water, let it soak for two minutes, then mix by hand or slow-speed mixer to a lump-free creamy consistency. Never add water or gypsum once setting has begun. Working time is at least 60 minutes — do not prepare more than can be applied within it.

Spread the plaster with a trowel in a single 5–30 mm coat and level with an h-profile straightedge. As setting begins, cut back and flatten with a trapezoidal rule, then lightly wet the surface, float with a sponge and polish with a stainless trowel to a smooth, paint-ready finish. Full drying takes 3–7 days depending on thickness and ventilation.

Gypsum is a low-hazard, non-flammable product. Wear a dust mask while pouring and mixing, and safety goggles. In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of clean water.

Store in original sealed bags in a dry place, raised on wooden pallets away from moisture — gypsum is more moisture-sensitive than cement. Shelf life is 9 months from the production date; use an opened bag within days.
