Syria's First EN 12004 Certified Tile Adhesive & Construction Chemicals Factory
EuroFix Syria is the Syrian branch of the British company EuroFix International. Its distribution network is rolling out across all 14 governorates now, supplying products made to the parent's original British formulations. The Hama plant is under installation — Syrian production has not started and is anticipated to begin around January 2027 (an estimate, not a committed date). It is planned as Syria's first EN 12004, ISO 9001, CE construction-chemicals facility.
Syria's First European-Certified Construction Chemicals Production Facility
EuroFix Syria's plant in the Hama industrial zone is being established as the first tile adhesive and construction chemicals facility in Syria built to EN 12004 European standards. It is fitted with German and Italian production lines and will run the parent company's formulations developed at its central UK laboratory. The plant is currently under installation: Syrian production has not started and is anticipated to begin around January 2027 — an estimate, not a committed date. Once commissioned, with a design capacity of 50,000 tons/year, it will serve the Syrian market and the region with premium tile adhesives, waterproofing, primers, and decorative paints.

Investing in the Syrian construction-materials market — straight answers
Is construction materials a good business to enter in Syria in 2026?
The demand side is not in doubt — reconstruction consumes finishing materials — but an honest answer names both sides. In favour: tile adhesive is barely a formal category in Syria yet, sand-and-cement is still the default fixing method, and the bar on foreign trucks entering since February 2026 raised the cost of overland imports sharply, which favours local manufacture. Against: intermittent electricity, local cement that costs more than in neighbouring markets, and state-supported Turkish exporters. Anyone weighing this should model the input costs, not only the demand.
Is opening a building-materials warehouse in Syria a good investment?
The warehouse (distribution) model is one of the stronger entries into the reconstruction market, because the real gap is not supply but organisation: customs decrees 109 and 110 of 2026 reward whoever masters HS classification and clearance, and almost no distributor offers what contractors actually lack — datasheets, EN classifications and technical support. A warehouse stocking documented product sells to engineers and specifiers, not only to shops. That is also exactly the profile EuroFix looks for in a distribution partner.
Why tile adhesive specifically, rather than another building material?
Because the competitive floor is unusually weak. Cement and steel are commodity markets with entrenched players and thin margins. Adhesive is technical — bought on documented performance — and much of the regional supply carries no EN class, no declared adhesion figure and no datasheet. A supplier who can document what he sells competes on something other than price, and the category sells as a system: primer, adhesive, waterproofing and finish specified together, so one customer buys four categories and stays.
What does EuroFix offer a distributor that another brand does not?
Four things a dealer can use immediately: a published EN class on every pack, so he can sell to engineers rather than only to shops; datasheets and batch certificates that settle disputes about a failed floor in his favour; technical support that reaches the site, not a phone number in another country; and a range designed as a system, so one customer buys four categories instead of one bag. The proposition is British formulation and standards, manufactured locally under the parent company's licence.
