Belfast, United Kingdom — In August 2015, EuroFix R&D team achieved a major chemistry breakthrough by launching the first-generation organic polymer grid technology. Traditional cement-based tile adhesives suffer from brittle cracking when substrates move or experience thermal cycles. The organic grid lattice forms a flexible bridge between sand-cement minerals, allowing high deformability.
This technology represents the precursor to Class S1 deformable adhesives under European Standard EN 12002. By incorporating custom elastic acrylic chains, the cured mortar can flex up to 2.5mm without structural detachment, ensuring long-term bonding security for heavy natural stone on elevated interior walls.
